1 Overview
YLS, YLST, YLKK, YLKKT, YLKS, YLKST series (H355~630) medium-sized high-voltage vertical three-phase asynchronous motors are our company SEALOCEAN with more than 30 years of manufacturing history. With the improvement of the performance of insulating materials for motors in recent years, The application of low-loss silicon steel sheet, the improvement of the technological level, the optimization and improvement of the design, have conditions to reduce the various losses of the motor, thereby increasing the motor capacity, combined with the design and manufacture of our company’s long-term high-voltage three-phase asynchronous motor series for more than 60 years Experience, the latest optimization design according to the needs of the country and the industry, and the experiment proved that the new series of products have reached or approached the world's advanced level in terms of technical performance and economic performance. It has been produced in large quantities and sold to more than 20 countries and regions in Europe, America, Africa, Hong Kong and Macao, and all over the country, and is well received by users.
This series of products are made of sophisticated materials and well-manufactured. They have the advantages of high efficiency and energy saving, low noise, low vibration, reliable operation, convenient use, installation and maintenance.
The power rating, electrical performance, installation dimensions and tolerances of this series of motors are in line with the national standard GB755 "Rating and Performance of Rotating Electrical Machines", International Electrotechnical Commission standard IEC34-1 "Rating and Performance of Rotating Electrical Machines".
The enclosure protection grades of this series of motors are IP23, IP44, IP54, IP55 and IP56 according to the standards of GB4942.1 and IEC34-5 "Rotating Motor Enclosure Protection Degree". IP23 motors can be made into IP44 (duct ventilation) or IPW24 (weather protection type) according to user requirements. If users need other protection levels, they can be supplied separately.
The cooling methods of this series of motors are divided into three types: IC01, IC611, and IC81W according to the standards of GB/T1993 and IEC34-6 "Cooling Methods of Rotating Electric Machines". If users need other cooling methods, they can be supplied separately.
The structure and installation type of this series of motors are IMV1 structure, which meets the requirements of GB997 and IEC34-7 "Motor Structure and Installation Type Code".
2 Range of use
This series of motors can be used to drive vertical water pumps and other mechanical equipment, as prime movers in various industrial and mining enterprises such as mines, machinery, petrochemical industries, and power plants.
The basic conditions for the normal working of the motor:
(1) The altitude does not exceed 1,000m;
(2) The maximum ambient air temperature does not exceed 40℃; the lowest ambient air temperature is -15℃ for motors with rolling bearings; 5℃ for motors with sliding bearings;
(3) For YLKS and YLKST series motors, the cooling water temperature at the cooling inlet is 5~33℃;
(4) The average maximum relative humidity of the wettest month is 90% and the average minimum temperature of the month is not higher than 25℃;
(5) The power frequency is 50Hz±l%;
(6) The working voltage variation range is not more than ±5% of the rated voltage;
(7) The motor rating is continuous duty S1;
(8) YLST, YLKKT, YLKST type motors can withstand axial thrust of 3~60 tons.
3 Model description
The motor model is composed of product code and specification code in sequence according to the provisions of GB4831. The product code is represented by the motor series code, the meaning is as follows
YLS-vertical squirrel cage asynchronous motor
YLST——Asynchronous motor with vertical squirrel cage bearing axial thrust
YLKS——Vertical squirrel cage asynchronous motor with air-water cooler
YLKST——Asynchronous motor with air-water cooler with vertical squirrel cage bearing axial thrust
YLKK-vertical squirrel cage asynchronous motor with air-air cooler
YLKKT——Asynchronous motor with air-to-air cooler with vertical squirrel cage bearing axial thrust
The specification code is composed of center height, core length serial number, and pole number.

4 Structure description
The medium-sized motor adopts the internationally popular box structure, the base and the end cover are made of welded steel plates, with good rigidity and light weight. After removing the protective cover (or cooler), you can observe and touch the inside of the motor, which is convenient for the installation and maintenance of the motor. The stator adopts an external press-fit structure. The stator winding adopts Class F insulating materials and anti-corona materials. The winding ends are fixed by a special binding process, which is firm and reliable. The entire stator is treated with vacuum pressure impregnation of class F solvent-free paint (VPI). As a result, the motor has excellent and reliable insulation performance, moisture-proof and impact resistance.
The squirrel cage rotor of the medium-sized series motor can adopt both cast aluminum rotor and copper bar rotor, which is reliable in operation.
According to whether the motor bears the axial thrust or the magnitude of the axial thrust, the upper bearing structure of the motor has two types of rolling bearing and sliding bearing, and the lower bearing structure is a rolling bearing. Motors with rolling bearing structure have non-stop refueling and draining devices.
The main outlet box is a sealed structure, and the protection level is IP54. The inlet hole of the outlet box can be turned up, down, left and right. There is a separate ground terminal inside the box.
5 Starting of this series of motors
The motor's rotor uses advanced calculation techniques to calculate the starting temperature rise and stress of the squirrel cage rotor to prevent the motor from being damaged early due to excessive starting load. It is recommended that users check:
(1) The moment of inertia of the rotating part of the driven mechanical equipment (converted to the motor speed) should not exceed the value of [Load J] in the technical data sheet;
(2) The user's power grid should ensure that the motor terminal voltage of the motor during the starting process is not less than 85% of the rated voltage;
(3) The resistance torque characteristics of the driven machinery are the resistance torque characteristics of water pumps and fans.
Under the above conditions, the motor is allowed to start twice in the actual cold state, and the motor will stop naturally between the two starts; or start once in the hot state of the motor. If the motor exceeds the above limit, restart the motor after 4 hours of parking.
If the moment of inertia of the mechanical rotating part that needs to be driven by the motor exceeds the value of [Load J] in the technical data sheet, or requires frequent starting of the motor, or a motor that may be started with a heavy load, please contact our company in advance for consultation. Design to ensure reliable starting of the motor.

7 matters needing attention
(1) Check the moment of inertia of the driven mechanical equipment;
(2) If there are changes in working conditions or other special requirements, a separate technical agreement is required to sign the goods contract;
(3) The technical performance data listed in the sample table are guaranteed values for reference when designing, selecting and ordering, but cannot be used as an evaluation standard. The standard for evaluating the motor is in accordance with the corresponding technical conditions;

The YL Series Vertical Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor is designed with our sixty years of experience in designing and manufacturing high voltage three-phase induction motor, produced with advanced manufacturing technic comprehend from American Westinghouse Electric Corp and German LDW(LLOYD DYNAMOWERKE) ,which can be divided into YLKK and YLKS series to meet different cooling demands.
This series motor can be widely used to drive vertical mounted machines and water pump, such as power plant circulating water pump, condensate pump, and other kinds of water pump station. Motor axial thrust load is optional as clients’ requirement.
